Happy Valentine's Day!
By IwantU.com editors with Aphrodite
Just saying the words “Valentine’s Day” will either make you feel blissful that you get to spend the day with your significant other, or it will make you cringe at the thought of smiling couples, mushy love, hearts, and cupids. Don’t worry, we are going to share some ideas of what you can do if you are a couple and you are single!
For all of you couples out there Valentine’s Day is a day of showing your love to each other, rekindling the magic of your relationship, or showing just how much you mean to each other. Just a few gifts that all women will expect, regardless of whether they say the want it or not, is chocolates, flowers, and cards. A great idea is to make your own card, get creative with it and express your love, your appreciation, and your affection. When buying chocolates you can either go with those quaint boxes or go with one of those lavish boxes of chocolates. As for flowers, roses are a great way to go but, if you throw in a couple of her favourite flowers then it shows that you really know her.
Here are a few more ideas that are different than the usual for all you couples out there.
1) Go out on a Special Date. Take your loved one out on a special date somewhere, you can do breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Spare no expense as this is one time of the year to splurge on each other. A great idea is to recreate your first date, this time it will be better as neither of you are nervous or worried about how the night will progress.
2) Buy Some Sex Toys. You heard right. Take a trip to the sex store and pick out some toys for each other. It’s best to go with some toys that you can both use over and over again such as board games, body paint, flavoured massage oils, etc.
3) Get her a body care basket. Now days you can find several assorted body care baskets. Get her something nice she can use like aroma therapy baskets, bubble bath baskets, anything nice that you think she would thoroughly enjoy. Along with one of these, you can also get her a bottle of her favourite perfume.

5) The gift that never fails. Buy him or her some jewelry. There are plenty of pieces out there that have beautiful colored stones; of course you can always go with diamonds. If you want to take a look around you can even find some matching sets for each of you.
Now, for all you singles out there. This may be your first Valentine’s Day as a single or it could be one of many. If you are the latter of the two then don’t give up hope. This is just ONE Valentine’s Day. No one knows what the future holds. So, here are some great ideas for you!
1) Take some YOU time. Yes, take some time to recognize your feelings on this holiday and wallow a little bit. By a little bit we mean like a 15 minute self-pity session, that’s it.
2) Take a Trip Away. Yes, that’s it, go somewhere new. Take a trip either by yourself or grab some of your single friends to go along with you. Some ideas are going outdoors, camping, hiking, hitting the slopes, and biking. There is nothing like getting out there and having some fun.
3) Spend a Day at the Spa. Schedule some time at a day spa. Give yourself the full treatment. While others are out at dinner being mushy, you will be soaking it up in a spa, wearing a nice robe, and getting the fully relaxed treatment you deserve.
4) Have a Movie Marathon. You can either decide to do back to back movies at a theatre, spending your whole day watching action packed movies, comedies, horror flicks. Any kind of movie, just stay away from the romance and drama movies. You can also spend a day at home watching all of your favourite happy movies either by yourself or with some friends.

6) Get Up and Volunteer. Go out and volunteer your time to a good cause. There are tons of organizations out there that are calling for volunteer help. You can assist and give your “love” to others.
7) Things to Avoid. Do not, whatever you do, do not go to a restaurant. All you will find there are couples. There will be no chance to get a quiet dinner alone by yourself. If you want a dinner then consider ordering in or spend some time making yourself a scrumptious gourmet meal. Another thing to avoid is to think that everyone out there is one big happy couple. There are tons of singles out there just like you.
We wish all of you a Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
